Kim began an apprenticeship with LRUF with a desire to learn more about the principles of organic gardening. Kim was born and raised in central Arkansas and graduated with a biology degree from Arkansas Tech University. After working for the Arkansas Department of Health Public Health Laboratory for the past five years, Kim decided it was time to switch gears and put her biology degree to work in another way. She is looking forward to being able to spend time working outdoors and getting her hands dirty while learning the techniques of organic gardening. She is also interested in helping create workshops that engage and educate the community about the importance of organic farming and living a more sufficient and environmentally friendly lifestyle.
